　　内容提要：This paper studies the impact of members in top management team (TMT) with overseas experience on public firms’ outward FDI strategy. The empirical results implicate that firms hiring TMT with overseas experience care more likely to conduct outward FDI projects, and business background does much more than education background. When considering ex-post performance after outward FDI, which is measured as total factor productivity, overseas experience has positive effects on it. These results supplement recent domestic researchers on OFDI from corporate governance perspective and reveal that TMT members, working as human capital, enhance firms’ internationalization decision and long-run perfomrmance.

丁浩员，香港中文大学经济学博士、上海财经大学副教授，博士生导师，于Journal Of International Economics等高水平国际期刊发表论文近10篇，主持国家自然科学基金项目一项，参加国家级课题三项。

齐彤，上海财经大学经济学博士研究生，主要研究方向为公司金融，国际贸易。参与国家自然科学基金项目。
